SHILDON FOX FC

Shildon Fox & Hounds have always had a successful football team, however, this disbanded in the late 90’s.

A number of men who had quite a history with the club reformed this for the start of the 2005/2006 season and joined the Wear Valley Sunday League.  For most of the season it was a struggle and we subsequently joined the Spennymoor Sunday League for the start of the next season – this proved to be a good move for us and we managed to be promoted from the 3^rd Division in the first season and reached the 3^rd Division Cup Final, being piped to each title by our major rivals, Aycliffe Village.

Despite losing a number of players from our promotion season, we have continued our good form and currently stand top of the 2^nd Division (albeit Aycliffe have a number of games in hand) and we are looking good for promotion to the 1^st Division.
